Each year the National Indian Health Board has the wonderful opportunity to host a national conference to provide training on the latest research and best-practice strategies for health issues facing American Indians and Alaska Natives at the community, tribal, state, and federal level. In the past the conference featured topics related to substance abuse and mental health, budget formulation, contract health services, health information technology, and other issues relevant to AI/AN health systems. The conference has included special features like culture night, NIHB Awards Ceremony, CMS day, and Just Move It Walk.
This event attracts, on average 900 attendees, encompassing a broad representation from Tribal health services and the public health community including Tribal leaders, health care providers, clinic administrators, policy leaders, local decision makers, community health promotion and disease prevention professionals, public health personnel, consumers and advocates. This conference offers tremendous opportunity to gain exposure and access to health care professionals and consumers in Indian Country.
We encourage you to join us for Indian Country’s premier health conference which will help us advance our goal of eliminating health disparities in Indian Country and further our mission to advocate on behalf of all Tribal governments and AI/AN people in their efforts to support the health of their communities.
