ACF Administration for Native Americans Announces $42 million Available in Competitive Grant Funding for FY 2010

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Administration for Native Americans (ANA) announces the availability of $42 million in competitive grant funding for fiscal year 2010 for community-based projects that promote economic and social self-sufficiency and cultural preservation for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and other Native American Pacific Islanders from American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The fiscal year 2010 funding includes $27 million for continuing multi-year projects.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) funds under the Capital Grant component of VA's Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program.

Goal:

VA is offering to eligible applicants funding priorities for the following: transitional housing and services for women veterans and women veterans caring for dependent children and Indian Tribal Governments or non-profit agencies that will provide transitional housing and services for homeless veterans on Indian Tribal Property.

Summary:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is announcing the availability of funds for applications for assistance under the Capital Grant component of VA's Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program. In addition to the Capital Grant component, there is the availability of funds for applications for assistance under the `Per Diem-Only'' (PDO) component. Please visit the below links for more information concerning these programs, funding priorities, application process, and amount of funding available. Both Notices of Funding Availability have targets for women Veterans and for programs on tribal lands.
