The Health Reporter is a quarterly newsletter published by the National Indian Health Board. Each issue of the E-newsletter contains up-to-date information on NIHB programs and issues surrounding Indian health in this country.

Federally-Recognized Tribes

Tribes must be recognized by the Federal government in order to be eligible to receive services from the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs.

There are 564 Federally-recognized Tribal entities eligible to receive services from the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs as listed and published in the Federal Register, Vol. 74, No. 153 on Tuesday, August 11, 2009.
