SUMMARY:Public Health in Indian Country Capacity Scan – Tribal Public Health Webinar
DESCRIPTION:This installment of NIHB’s year-long Tribal public health webinar series will cover Tribal public health capacity and the Public Health in Indian Country Capacity Scan (PHICCS). PHICCS is a national scan conducted by the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) to better understand capacity and the undertaking of Tribal public health organizations (THO) that deliver public health services.   \nThese efforts are an essential part of working with Tribes to establish trusted and culturally responsive insight that informs national resources and tools and aids Tribes\, Tribal health organizations\, partners\, and policy makers on topics related to Tribal public health infrastructure and capacity. The goal of these efforts is to bridge the gap between findings and the development of targeted support for Tribal public health capacity investments and improvements.  \nThis free session is designed for Tribal public health professionals\, Tribal leaders and others interested in strengthening Tribal public health systems. Webinar participants will learn more about Tribal public health infrastructure and capacity through an interactive PHICCS overview and engagement session and hear about practical examples of how Tribal public health departments are utilizing Tribal public health capacity data to inform and improve their public health services.   \n* This project is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S. Department Health and Human Services [HHS] as part of a financial assistance award totaling $1\,425\,000 with 100% percent funded by CDC/HHS. The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of\, nor an endorsement\, by CDC/HHS) or the U.S. Government.*
