May 9-13 the National Indian Health Board will be hosting the 2022 National Tribal Public Health Summit (TPHS) where American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) public health professionals from across the nation will gather to learn more, contribute to, and advance public health in Indian Country. During the Summit Indian Health Service and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will provide updates on their work pertaining to public health for AI/ANs. These pre-summit institutes, Federal, Tribal Consultations and Listening Sessions will be FREE to the public! You must register to attend these FREE summit days.
After the NIHB’s 2022 TPHS join the Inter-Tribal World Café on Health Equity.
This FREE special session will provide a forum for Tribal leaders and members to come together and discuss what health equity means from a Tribal perspective and how centering Indigenous knowledge and Indigenous identity is the path to achieving health equity. Using a World Café format, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several rounds of facilitated small group discussions about key questions surrounding health equity in Indian Country.
