In 2023, NIHB joined the Indigenous Health Working Group in writing and submitting a report on the Indigenous Determinants of Health to the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. In May, NIHB traveled to Geneva for the 67th World Health Assembly and again in July for the UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous People.
