The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s (CMS) Rural Health Council will be hosting four listening sessions in May based on regions within the United States and Territories. These listening sessions aim to incorporate stakeholder feedback on the issues relevant to rural and Tribal communities. Specifically, CMS is looking for feedback on the Current Rural Health Strategy through three over arching questions.
- Which of the CMS Rural Health Strategy objectives should CMS continue to prioritize?
- What is missing from the current CMS Rural Health Strategy objectives?
- What can CMS do to advance health equity for rural and frontier communities, including Tribal Nations and U.S. territories?
These sessions may be important to Tribal communities and leaders who have first hand experience with receiving health care or working in the healthcare service delivery arena within their community.
