Upcoming Webinar on Childhood Mental and Behavioral Health

On May 4, 2022, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a webinar on Childhood Mental Health: “Encouraging the use of Mental and Behavioral Health Benefits Covered Under Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).” This webinar aims to highlight ways in which communities can improve access to mental health and behavioral health services, resources for suicide prevention, best practices for mental health, and much more.
This webinar may be beneficial for Tribal communities in supporting their youth. Since the onset of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), mental health and behavioral health in children has been greatly effected due to isolation and other barriers related to social and educational changes. Through this webinar Tribal health providers and Tribal members may be provided with tools and outreach resources to better help Tribal children and families access childhood behavioral health and mental health services when needed.
The webinar will be held from 3:00pm – 4:00pm ET.
