Affordable Care Act National Tribal Week of Action! November 16 –20, 2015

Join the National Indian Health Board, Indian Health Service, National Congress of American Indians, National Council on Urban Indian Health, and tribal leaders across Indian country for the Affordable Care Act National Tribal Week of Action from Monday, November 16 to Friday, November 20, 2015.  This week all American Indians and Alaska Natives are encouraged to learn more about the health insurance options available under the Affordable Care Act.  Many I.H.S., Tribal and urban Indian clinics will also be hosting outreach, education and enrollment events.  Make sure to tell your family, friends and community members about the Affordable Care Act so that everyone is afforded the opportunity to improve their health.

If your I.H.S., tribal or urban Indian clinic is hosting an event this week, please share your experiences with us and the rest of Indian country.  Please take photos of your positive experiences and post to the Tribal Health Care Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/TribalHealthcare] and twitter [https://twitter.com/TribalHlthCare].

Here are a few tools to help you get the message out about the Affordable Care Act:

Communication to Membership:

We have provided a template that tribal leaders, health professionals and stakeholders can use to communicate with tribal members about the ways the Affordable Care Act can benefit your community.  This template is intended to be e-mailed to tribal membership, placed in tribal publications, or handed out at your enrollment events.  Four templates are available:

Social Media Posts

We have provided a post for each day of this week with memes (see below and attached) to post to your social media site.
