Amend Retirement Plan

WHEREAS, the National Indian Health Board (NIHB), established in 1972, serves all federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Tribal governments by advocating for the improvement of health care and public health delivery to AI/ANs, as well as upholding the federal government’s trust responsibility to AI/AN Tribal governments; and

WHEREAS, the unique nature of NIHB’s mission and the need to strategically grow the organization requires the organization to be completive in benefits. The board of directors (the “Board”) considered a proposal to amend the retirement program for the employees of the National Indian Health Board to increase the matching fund contribution.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the 401k Define contribution plan is hereby amended, July 1st, 2020 to reflect an increase from 5% to 10% contribution rate; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Stacy Bohlen is appointed to serve as the directed trustee of the plan; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, further that Stacy Bohlen is authorized to execute any legal documents necessary to amend the plan, that the National Indian Health Board has fiduciary responsibility over; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that National Indian Health Board supports efforts to further nurture its fiscal growth and stability through the maintenance of an organizational retirement accounts.

Certification

The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board, with quorum present, on the 16th day of June, 2020.
