Introducing the new Health Reporter- Aya: A Journey of Tribal Health

We are proud to share the newly released Fall 2025 issue of NIHB’s health reporter—now with a new name and spirit: Aya: A Journey of Tribal Health.

Why Aya?
In many Indigenous languages, “Aya” carries meanings of journey, path, and movement. We chose this name to reflect the stories of Tribal health as a living journey—one rooted in culture, guided by storytelling, and carried forward by the strength of our Nations.

This change honors the deep traditions of storytelling in Indian Country, reminding us that every report, every data point, and every policy update is part of a greater story: the story of our collective path toward health and wellness.

The Fall 2025 issue is now available—read it today.

Together, let’s continue this journey of Tribal health.
