Gathering of People: Operating a UIO During COVID-19 and the Emerging Variants

Modeling a traditional “Kawe” (Comanche term for “gathering of people”), NCUIH presents a facilitated discussion on infection, prevention, and control (IPC) best practices for operating UIOs during the global pandemic amidst emerging COVID-19 variants. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, strategies, and tactics in managing their IPC program with a subject matter expert from the CDC.

Objectives:
  • Provide latest information on the Delta virus and emerging variants
  • Provide an opportunity for UIOs to communicate with a CDC expert and ask relevant questions to obtain guidance relevant in UIO settings
  • Maintain the Project Firstline momentum and promote activities for the upcoming grant year
